I've just learned, that if your pet mercenary skeleton kills an ancient skeleton (deals the killing blow), you don't get any ancient coins from the kill. I honestly think this needs to be changed. First, when the ancient skeleton spawns, the game mechanic has it run away (similar to pigs and chickens), so why do your skeletons have to get involved at all?
Second, there's no mechanic you can do to dismiss your mercenary pets. If you need help on an island and summon them, you're essentially stuck with them. If/when an ancient skeleton spawns, not only do you have to quickly follow the sound to find it, you're also in a race to get the killing blow before they do, and if you have 2 pets, good luck with that.
This just punishes players who use in-game tools Rare. A feature designed to help, actually hurts players in this regard. Please apply the same code used with pigs and chickens, to the ancient skeletons as well.
