the more the merrier, I definitely don’t think there should be a cap on how many “outfit slots” we would get but they 100% should be added. I don’t know much about the complications I just believe the community would have a blast with stuff like that, the games has tons of cosmetics you can mix and match, but the current system doesn’t allow that to be fully taken advantage of. The same should go with ships, different variants of your boat with whatever you have saved. Let the community enjoy our hard earned cosmetics and keep saves of our favorite mixes!
ADD MULTIPLE OUTFIT SLOTS
Outfit saving is so simple and it makes no sense whatsoever why they can't add it. It literally is saving a checklist and then applying that list. Wow. So tough. It would SAVE server resources too, instead of needing to load EVERY single thumbnail of EVERY single cosmetic we mouse over before we get to what we want, it would just be what we want.
@potatosord The UI would need to be created, the feature planned out, and likely some existing code edited. Someone would also need to review it to make sure it doesn’t affect other systems.
Adding things to games isn't as easy as it might seem. If you don’t plan carefully and take your time, you can end up with issues that don’t just affect the new system you’re adding, but also other parts of the game that may seem unrelated but are actually connected deep in the code.
The UI, on the other hand, needs to be carefully thought out and planned: how it will work, how it will look, and how accessible it will be.
I think it’s likely being worked on for a Captaincy/Sovereigns-themed update, as we’ll probably see one at some point soon. They haven’t done anything with the Sovereigns for a while, and they’ve probably been up to no good behind the scenes while the other factions have been tied up in the ongoing war between the Pirate Lord and Captain Flameheart.
@uluckyhitreg Build a rudimentary version of it, put it in insiders, bug test it there. That's why insiders exists, so the community can all go at a feature from many angles to make sure it works properly
