Here's a thought, for one season, shut down the volcanoes.And the waterspouts in the devil's roar and see what feedback you get.
Volcanoes
I hate the volcanoes just as much as the next guy, but at that point, the Devil's Roar would just be a better place to progress due to Ashen loot variants. The additional time you need to take to avoid the volcanoes is the designed risk increase, the Ashen loot being it's reward.
Unless you mean the waterspouts provide some kind of danger, but I'm not quite sure what that would be tbh

I love the volcanos, even when I was spamming Athena shipwrecks in the roar when I started sot. It was always a task to situate the sloop in between the two or three volcanoes which would always be in range of each shipwreck, sprinting to the surface when I heard an eruption.
Volcanoes are love.
They were disabled for a quest not long ago, though, like a year or so ago? I forget exactly what the quest was since I didn’t really participate but it was popular. Something to do with special limited ashen voyages, if I remember correctly.

If all the hindrances of teh Roar are taken away, so should any bonus to the value of the loot found there.
Yup! Those also save a lot of time if you're doing Molten Sands Fort by melting skelly waves + boss.
@captainluke56 Agreed. Its too bad this "adjustment" they said they did this week, didnt really do anything. I spends lots of time in the Roar. Volcanoes are still lasting 5+ minutes, yes I have stop watched them this week. Volcanoes still Homing missiling ships. Yea the whole "oh we toned down aiming on players". No ya didnt. Tell that to being shot 4 times to my sloop parked at an island a block and a half away today. Geysers do seem to be not auto following though.
Idk what server you been on. But DR is so quiet for me I forgot the volcano even works. From a distance I see them but never once I arrive
