Would be cool if we could customize the flames of our ships/rowboats permanently. That is all.
Flames of Fate - Give us a Permanent Variant?

So then have infinite flames you can use on the FOTD?
Doesn't have to be functional as a flames of fate, more like a Ghost Lantern situation where its default color is light blue - similar to the color you get when you died through lightning strikes.
Besides, even if it does function as one, getting a skull of destiny is just too easy anyway
@coopers-rum Not really, I'm completely new and I can already tell a skelly ship from a player one, unless I'm missing something.
I am going for a flying dutchman look, and I can die every time to a skeleton to get the green for my ship, but it's very frustrating. Also, there are no candles, chandeliers etc. with the green color sadly, hopefully we get more customization options later!
There is already lanterns that have non standard light colours, like the lantern of the damned, which has a flame of fate, ghost green. I could see some hull sets coming with coloured lanterns, but it would kinda suck if only newer hulls had it. I do like the idea of it being its own option though, like cannon flares.

If they aren't functional it would make it harder for other crews to see if they can "steal" a flame. That ship has a white flame - let's chase it for a bit, board them and take it instead of sailing into a storm --- oh, it's a fake one....

If it's that easy, just use the skull to give you the lights you want 😁.

Well, that would only be a problem before Skull of Destiny exists.
Who even steals a flame nowadays? even more so with storms. the skull is more convenient to use.If it's that easy, just use the skull to give you the lights you want 😁.
Well... I did. but having to relight the color on every lantern in the ship every time you either sink or just start a new ship gets repetitive and tiresome, and it also takes time even when you dive.

I'd be in favour for lights persisting after sinking or diving to another server.

Aye, lad...
