I cant do more than 3 win , to fall on a cheater crew who sunk me in less than 5 second . Becus they have too many canon ball or chains on their boat , we eat canon ball rain and cant do nothing. Or we start brig vs brig and a random sloop come to help the other brig , or they parked on middle of thieve event or kraken fall to do team deathmatch , You need to send the fight in a private server , and The Matchmaking is really trash i miss the old arena game mode this one is legit impossible to do any achievement. Rare a the non-toxique players . I want play to have fun not to be spawn killed or be destroyed from across the map . At least if we can get more exp to level faster when sunk it can be better but is still a pain when you know they are not legit... and re-loot the boat each 5 min of game just make me want to unistall .

Why? This wont solve the issues you seem to have, maybe remove third party but that part of the open world fun.

Which achievements? Old Arnea was worse, nobody wanted to play the mode given, they made up rules and if you didnt fall in line. You were the toxic one.

How does earning Exp/Rewards faster = Fun? You seem to just want the curses as quick as possible, and dislike the way to get them.

They can heal all they want, but if they are on fire, blunderbombed, holes in ship, they have to choose what to do. Only so many things a player can do at once. Give them multiple choices and they will choose the wrong answer XD

Old arena was 3% of the global playtime with 50% of the global toxicity reports. It was, by volume the most toxic part of the game while being played by the fewest people in the game.
That cesspool is not returning.
This isn't a new Arena mode this game mode gives you up to 2.5 multiplier on reputation if you hoard treasure which also favours defending instead of invading so the gamemode was definitely thought as a defender vs invader unfortunately they were unable to lean on that cause everyone wanted to invade and no one wanted to defend outside of the few alliance traps which lead to the creation of a boundary that prevents ships from invading you if you can't invade.
PS:Also old arena was a trash fire when I played it open crews were full of trolls trolling their own team and then there was a sweaty crew that would point farm one of the other ships by killing instead of sinking and the treasure was mostly ignored because it was more efficient to point farm a ship than to dig and sell the treasure.

I get your frustration with the new arena mode—it can definitely feel overwhelming at times! But remember, Sea of Thieves is all about finding a crew and enjoying the experience together, whether you're playing on Xbox, PC, or even on the go when it eventually comes to Switch.
When you jump into a server, try to find a chill crew to sail with. If you run into server hoppers or players that seem a bit off, don’t hesitate to leave and switch servers. You might notice some of them popping up in other games like Fortnite or Call of Duty. If that happens, it’s a good idea to block them so you won’t match up with them again.
If you encounter players with unusual physics or who seem to have an unfair advantage, they’re likely not legends. Just record what happens and report it to support; they’ll handle it from there. And yes, some players might be using settings that give them an edge, like a Field of View (FoV) greater than 90 on Xbox. It’s puzzling that there aren't stricter checks on console settings, but hopefully, Rare will address that.
Most importantly, try to enjoy the game for what it is! Focus on completing multiple commendations or achievements in one session. You'll find that the thrill of the pirate life shines through when you take your time to explore and enjoy the journey. Rare continues to deliver updates and new content, so there's always something fresh to experience.

OP accused me a few days back of cheating when we faced on controller only servers. I said I was streaming it and you could see for yourself but instead said "streamers = cheaters" and reported me.
Not to discount this thread as there still are cheaters. Less than I've been seeing but one in particular yesterday shut the server down after cannoning onto an invisible harpoon from a mile away onto my ship. This pirate did a countdown from 3 and my ship went vertical and I was disconnected, all while promoting the cheats while spamming text.
So yes, there still are cheaters, not sure how prevalent compared to before. People on certain lists and who play certain modes will see them more.
There are some really good players on the seas with experience. 70-80 days is not much unless you've been focusing solely on pvp. At 246 days played I rank #19 on my friends list for time played.
I will say I sometimes think someone cheating who really isn't upon further look. I'm glad Rare is making the effort to prevent this. It's always going to be a problem but I'm happy with their recent response and efforts in combating cheating and regaining the trust in the community.

It sounds to me like you perhaps need some practice with cannonshots, and to listen when boarders are near.
-If they have more cannonballs than you, it's not cheating, it's them being more prepared, which you can do as well if you take the time to do so.
-As far as 3rd-parying goes (when a 3rd ship comes in to your hourglass match), Rare has already said that's going to be intended, as they're not going to devote time, money and resources dedicated to a private server as Arena once was.
-For Matchmaking, it all depends on your stamp/location. The game will try and match you to others' skill levels, however if no match can be found on your stamp, you're going to be matched with anyone else it can find. If that means the sweatiest players, it's unfortunate, but the alternative is you don't get a match (or wait underwater forever).
-If players are saying toxic things that break the ToS/Code of Conduct, record and report.
