The ship banner shown for each of the ships pledged to a guild is based on whichever milestone class is furthest progressed on a ship, however it is incredibly hard to maintain a milestone class with this status other than ‘the voyager’ or ‘gold seeker’ classes. Even though it is possible to maintain another class than these two, it is a hands on grind that not many people are willing to take part in for a cosmetic only you and your guild members can see.
It seems strange to me that these guild ship banners don’t just match the regular banner class that can be on equipped onto a captained ship.
It is pretty much impossible for players who first created their ship when captaincy came out to reestablish their highest milestone class. This seems like an obvious solution to a problem that could be easily fixed.
