Disable/Enable Pet Interactions (Like Trinket/Sit Interactions)

    This is a fairly simple request, but it would be a huge quality of life improvement to be able to disable pet interactions. Allow me to explain.

    I love the pets. I love having them around. I love the way they dance, follow me, and nibble on food I hold out.
    What I don't love is when I'm trying to grab my wheel or sail in the middle of combat and I end up picking up my pet and smashing into a rock instead, or picking up the pet of an enemy player nearby while I'm trying to use a barrel quickly.

    In short, pets are great, but their 'pick up' interaction means that I never want to have them out, since they'll always interfere with emergent PVP combat at a critical moment, and it's never fun to lose a fight that way.

    Add this. Just like sit/sleep spots and trinkets.

    Since you wouldn't have to worry about interaction traps...we could equip more pets 😉😁

    I second (or third?) this idea whole-heartedly. I've always got one of my critters out on my boat and while I rarely grab them instead of my wheel or sails, I do seem to pick them up accidentally every SINGLE time I'm digging up or moving loot and the little [censored] are sitting directly on top of whatever I'm trying to interact with at my feet instead of a few yards away. 🤬

    I end up dismissing them out of frustration after two or three of these interactions and would love to simply turn off the prompt instead.

    I’ll never figure out why players have hard time with this.
    It cracks me up to hear about it and never know anyone else besides the people on the forums struggle with pets.

    But they better add sitting down somewhere and fishing/playing music first.

    @aquietdragon in most pvp encounters they seem to run and hide staying out of the way or are where ever you placed them in your ship iv left or ships mascot on the peaceable locations around the ship and they mostly stay there unless I die or leave the ship but yes it would be nice to turn off interactions(toggle) with pets for those time they do get in the way

    Makes sense, people get offended if i ask them to dismiss pets but nothing worse than grabbing pets mid fight

    This is the #1 reason I don’t use the pets I have, that I don’t purchase more pets, and that I ask my crew mates to dismiss their pets if we are doing anything action packed.

    If they added this option I’d 100% buy more pets!

    Big agree, I might have some running around if it weren’t for randomly grabbing them as they sit in front of the wheel or something. I also request a toggle hotkey for disable/enable.
