Please give us a better Pirate Appearance Customization menu!

    I really want a specific look for my pirate, but no matter how much I randomize the pirates in the current pirate appearance customization menu I can never get the exact perfect pirate for me.

    I try over and over and I can never get all of the specific features I want on the same pirate...

    I'm always forced to compromise something whether it's the eyes, nose, face, body, I can never get the exact ones I want for MY pirate.

    In my opinion if I'm going to spend a PREMIUM currency (that can be bought with real money and is extremely difficult to earn in-game) to change MY pirates appearance I should be able to customize my pirate to look EXACTLY HOW I WANT THEM TO LOOK!

    I shouldn't be forced to sit for hours and hours hitting a button having the game randomly generate pirate after pirate that will never have all of the features I want in MY pirate's appearance...

    Please RARE give us a better Pirate Appearance Customization menu that allows the players to select EVERY aspect of our pirate that the game currently randomizes when you make a new pirate!

    It's random by design, there is no chance they will change that but I would like to see them add a gender preset and the ability to view the pirates in your current pirates clothing on in their undies.

    It would also be nice to have your current pirate standing off to the side for comparison.

    I don’t recall ever seeing Rare or anyone holding you back from playing the game. You’re not forced.

    You’re holding yourself back from enjoying the game over something so little, after all. 9/10 you never see your own pirate. Just the arms and hands/hook

    Season 13 or 14 will be seeing these unnecessary changes.

    I completely agree! I want to be able to make my pirate based on how I look, but I can't really do that cuz I have to compromise! We need something like this!

    @devtryak Really, that should not be a problem, the thing generates lots of scrawny pirates with messed up teeth, big nose and big ears... 😉

    @burnbacon that's not how I meant it, I meant that because of the current pirate appearance customization menu I spent several hours constantly going through random pirates and I could never find one that makes me say "that's me!" I shouldn't have this problem. It's 2024, every game like this should have the option for you to customize your character to your personal preferences (and all modern games besides this one do). Rare needs to get caught up with everyone else and update the character customization in this game to something that isn't randomly generated and let people actually choose what they want their character to look like.

    @m1ke-da-1ke It's a design choice in the same way that Rust locks you into a randomly generated character that you have zero control over and can't change (or at least it used to work like this).

    @burnbacon It depends. Personally, i love using emotes and watching my character do stuff. Having the pirate i actually want, compared to having a character i just chose to be able to play the game would make the experience a whole lot better... + it could make the clothes you're wearing fit better aswell

    I don't mind random but there needs to be a "change pose" option so you can see things better like their eyes and teeth. What I really want is a selector for Male/Female. That way we can at least have a carousel of only the gender you want.

    I'd like to see more pirate customization. The random pirate system is so... uninteresting. I was lucky enough to get a pirate that was pretty decent but really it still isn't exactly what I want. It's a choice but an odd one.
