Greetings, fellow pirates!
I'm coming to you in time of great need. I have tried many things, but none of them have worked.
Here is my problem: I cannot see what other people text, but they can see my texts.
I'm playing on Xbox Series S with mouse and keyboard inputs. When I first log in I can see what people text me just fine and I can reply to them all the same, however - as I keep playing maybe 15 to 45 minutes of game time my text chat breaks and I cannot see what people text me. When I text them they can see my messages - I cannot see theirs.
Here are the fixes I have tried:
Tried to delve deep into my Xbox settings and Privacy settings. They're as supposed to be and my "communications" are open for everyone. (This problem only occurs in SoT.)
I have tried resetting my game settings to defaults and tried various settings in "Language" section.
I have tried resetting and wiping clean my Xbox and downloading the game again.
I have tried to connect to different network such as my mobile data - still same problem.
I have raised a support request from staff and they have sent me an extensive list of possible fixes. None of them have worked. Please, mates, if anybody knows a fix let me know or at least help me raise this issue with the programmers. My main way of communication is by text as I dislike voice.
Any help is much appreciated.
P.S My voice chat works fine all the time.
