Yeah, people only use the costumes because certain aspects of it look really nice, and they can ignore the parts they don't like. If the costumes were individual pieces instead it'd be so much better, so the people who do like all the pieces of a costume can still have the full set, but those who don't have stuff to mix and match with. The game used to be about being unique and having your own pirate, but now costumes like lodestar or shrouded ghost hunters makes you look like carbon copies
