I bought Sea of Thieves (physical) around launch. Played for a while, and am now looking to play again. I now have a PC capable of gaming, and am looking to play on PC.
I currently have Game Pass for PC (on a free month). If I download and play on PC using the same Microsoft account, will my progress transfer?
What if I were to buy the game on Steam?
If I have a disc copy on Xbox One, will my progress carry over if I play on PC?

Same thing. The Steam version of SoT requires you to log in with your Microsoft Account, so the progress will carry over as long as you use the same Microsoft Account you originally used on your Xbox.
