Skeleton Gun Accuracy

  • I dont know if this has been raised before and I dont know what other people think on this matter, but I find the skeletons accuracy with weapons to be far too accurate. I must get hit by about 90% of their gunshots even when running and jumping away from them. Their precision aim is quite ridiculous in my opinion. I noticed how I ran away from a skeleton using a blunderbuss recently and because of the spread of the pellets in the gun it shouldn't have damaged me but it was like a sniper and took half my health away from a fair distance, and even when you dive underwater that's still not safe because they seem to have excellent tracking even seeing into the sea too. Trying to do forts can be an absolute nightmare sometimes when there's like 6 skeletons all with pistols and all bunched together because if I even try to run I can almost guarantee they will kill me because they just rarely miss you. Not even real alive humans shoot that well, never mind corpses and I think their aim assist should definitely toned down.

Curious what others think about this topic as I have had a mix of people i have played online with agree and not agree but so far it's leaning more towards the agreeing side.

  • It’s called. Difficulty.
If you run by skeletons always missing, game gets boring as they are already easy to defeat.

I also think and sorta confirm.
Depends on your voyage level and faction.

  • @burnbacon I get there's scales to difficulty which is why Forts and Skeleton ships etc have higher levels of difficulty, im not wanting them to always miss either, just tone down how often they actually hit because its a hell of a lot of the time their shots hit without fail, even when you're in some questionable places and you just think "How did that even hit me I'm hidden behind something here" haha.

  • Pretty sure their gun and cannon accuracy is turned down quite a bit from how it was early game. At one point it seemed like every dang skelly was a scout sniper in its previous life, or maybe i've just adapted idk.

  • Imagine a skelly with an eye of reach.

  • @alphawolf123905 I don't even want to think of that hahaha

It was not fun, especially in roar on the order of souls part of an Athena voyage.

  • @kommodoreyenser Just from knowing how they are with pistols and blunderbusses I can imagine and its a no from me haha

Lol yeah, you would get double tapped by two of them in a wave. Made it hard to get it all done when the volcanos also used to be turned up to 11 and you have 5 minutes or less between eruptions.

After removing them and then nerfing the roar, it was a grinders dream for awhile until all the new company voyages and thieves haven athena run popped up.

  • Sometimes it can be their downfall. One time I was on sn OoS voyage with my friend and was fighting 2 shadow skeleton captains, one with a pistol, one empty handed. The pistol one was aiming at me and just as he was about to fire the other one got between us, got shot and died. It was hilarious

  • They used to have have sniper skellies and they were even better with damage and accuracy. It felt broken as hell when you were on a fort and 6 metal skellies had snipers so it used to be a lot worse
