When you buy the game, Do you still have to pay for a subscription?

    Good day all.
    I would like to play the game but i am wondering when you buy the game, Do you still have to pay for a subscription?

    If you mean an xbox live gold subscription, yes.

    Just like any other online game you need xbox live to play.

    If you're playing on PC, you only need to buy it on Steam or the Windows store. No subscription needed.

    I know tons of games online where you do not have to pay a dime, that's why i ask :) .
    So if you go to steam and buy the game, You still have to pay fore the Xbox account correct?

    @garguzan If access to Sea of Thieves on Steam, you wont need live.
