This vault has already been looted good sir

Do the vaults only become available at a certain rep level with the gold hoarders? I'm only 24 rep with them and I haven't seen any vault voyages.

I have done the first vault for Tall Tales but I guess that's different to what you guys are talking about.

Aye, you need to be level 25 at Gold Hoarders.

I think you could have still placed the key on its spot and the vault would have reset and opened for you like normal. I know if you have multiple keys, you can place a second one starting a new vault as soon as the vault shuts and starts to fill with water.

So i have been having trouble getting a solo vault job done for some time. Its always something. My first attempt my daughter woke up and pulled me away from the game just before i could cash out (darn Lazybeard), no gold me that night.

The next night i got my map pieces (needed 2 to get the x) then went off to collect my key. I collected it without any problems, but when i get back to my boat i find another crew on board waiting for me. Long story short, i got robbed of my key (and everything else, darn pirates).

On my latest attempt i was able to get the key with a single map piece without any problems. Turns out it is for the same vault as my first attempt so i set sail to the island without a boat in site. I think this is going to be my day! as i arrive at the island i find a beacon is burning bright. "That's strange" i think to myself, but continue. when i get to the vault i notice that its already open and everything has been looted already.

maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow ;)
