I feel that with this new addition of leaderboard, and total statistic progression would be more available and comfortable to players if they had an app in their phones where they could see these numbers.
Perhaps in addition to this, players could also see on the app the available events, and even get a text message or notification on when the next event will start.
Furthermore, since this game supports communication so much, we should get the ability to text other players out at sea or in the community through an app chat box.
Players may also pull up maps and active tall tale books on their phones (Imagine flipping the pages of these books by scrolling with your fingers on a tablet or phone system), in game compass that changes directions based on in game orientation, health bar status and inventory, as well as amount of bullets. This idea would also allow players to still see their items and enable the option on their gaming system for a less intrusive hud which should overall, increase immersion.
One final thing the app should allow is the ability for the player to see their pirate character at all times, and even place their character in a picture editing mode which allows you to take pictures of your character with different sea of thieves backgrounds and unlocked emotes/ pets/ ship cosmetics (With the option to upload to different social medias maybe)
It's not 4D but having a phone app connect to your game to provide in game live info would be really cool and immersive, what do you guys think?
