So i was just fishing because i wanted to show my friend what a Watery Plentifin looked like and I didn't really need it so I would love to have an update where if you hold out a fish in water or hold it out over the side of the ship you have the option to let it go again back into the sea, that would be a really nice mechanic.
Fishing idea
@mrfrenchfry9983 Love it.
Id also like to add to this if thats ok?If i caught a fish i like such as a trophy fish, id love to be able to put it in the water barrel and keep it fresh and alive. If the hull floods it would be set free.

Hahah, I remember this suggestion! Would definitely be hilarious!
Why throw away nom-noms?
@DaringClarky
Just convert the brig of the sloop into a fish tank! (^.^)
@cotu42 Oh geez... I haven't been in the Sloop's brig since... Cursed Sails, I think. It's a rare sight, rarer than the Shrouded Ghost (evidently not, as I've been there). It puts you in there automatically if you disconnect 3 or more times in a short time, as to prevent you from harming your crew.
If you cast your rod again, doesn't it release the fish?
I sweat to God that it does, and I am going to login just to test the theory.

i agree and also if you have a fish still on the line you can cast it back in the sea and the fish leaves

The answer is yes.
