Hi all,
I'm really hoping someone can help. When I'm trying to use in game chat with my friends, I join their crew, but they can't hear me and I can't hear them.
I can see the green chat icon when I talk, but they can't hear it, and I can't hear them.
Steps we've tried:
- Updating the controller
- Different headset (both work in Xbox Live party chat)
- Checked Xbox Privacy and Online Safety settings to ensure voice and text is set to 'Everyone' (it is)
- Hard reset the Xbox (didn't work)
- Checked microphone is enabled in Xbox settings (it is)
- Checked that my microphone is unmuted (it is)
- Checked that I haven't muted any of my friends I'm trying to chat with (I haven't)
- Ensured my NAT type is Open (it is)
- Ensured the audio settings in Xbox Settings are outputting voice chat (they are)
- Balanced the chat mixer between in game audio and voice chat (it works fine in Xbox Live parties, still can't hear anything in SoT in game chat)
In game chat was working fine for us before the Haunted Shores update, and that's where the issue began. We were hoping Ashen Winds would fix it, but it hasn't.
If anybody has any ideas, or if anyone from Rare could help, that'd be great.
We've tried every single troubleshooting step and nothing seems to impact it - I'm still stuck with the green chat indicator when I talk, but nobody can hear me, and I can't hear them.
