An easy way to get more players playing together, particularly for people who may have a large friend grouo that play Sea of Thieves would be to introduce a menu option to create an alliance with another crew before you enter an instance. This would make use of systems already present within the game amd expand the experience. Would be even more fun if the alliance was as a standard alliance, can be broken, provides for new and interesting was to play 😂. Alliance ships spawn at same outpost, flying same flag or custom flags, and alliance names.

@procter-quinn The only way to make this not OP is limiting alliances to 3 ships max, splitting loot value between ships, and making it so alliance servers set up in this manner only include other pre-formed alliances (which may make queue times to get a server fairly long)
As you could imagine, an average solo sloop would have a tough time taking on 3 full crew ships of any kind.
@procter-quinn Every outpost has two docks, and I've always wanted a reason for the second dock to be used. If you could spawn in with another crew in a pre-made alliance they could spawn on the second dock. But there would have to be some alliance changes to make it not OP.
@galactic-geek when I make alliances with friends we either all load in at once and go to the ferry or just get a half empty boat to invite them.

Yep, that pretty much sums up how full-server alliances are created. Those get boring pretty fast though once their novelty runs out.
@galactic-geek I only do 2 ships at a time though not a full server because you are right, that is boring.

If given a choice, I would prefer 2v2v2 vs. 3v3 when it comes to the crew alliance system, IF it had limitations. Of course, as it is now gives you the most options and variations in regards to types of encounters (for example, you can have a 1v2v3, a 2v4, or a 1v5 server).
