Playing today doing Order of Soul quests in the Devils Reach, I had one voyage that was on 6-7 islands which i had no problem with until it came to the 6th island. I got knocked off a cliff by an explosive skeleton into between two pieces of terrain which my character counted as still moving so didn't get teleported automatically back to my ship. As a result of not being able to get back to my ship or the option of getting killed for a respawn on the ship. I lost all progress in the voyage and everything i had picked up due to me being solo.
Stuck Player command
@danphes if you force close the game instead of quitting you can now usually rejoin your play session. You have a 10 min window.
Also I think there should be a stuck player command in the menu. It needs to kill you though not black screen you.
As @Captain-Coel suggested: If all else fails, you can now try killing your Internet connection or hard powering down your device to force an abrupt disconnect; and then use the "Rejoin Game" option when it is offered.
True story:
Approximately two weeks ago, while drunk streaming a solo DR athena I became stuck on a tree. I wanted to get my hours in, so I just stayed there shouting for help, hoping that an eruption, geyser or earthquake would shake me loose (they did not, where's that aimbot volcano when you need one eh?)
Part of the tree part of the crew! I yelled.
Please Help I called out into the ether.
I'm begging you, send me to the Ferryman I cried out in despair.
After about 15 - 20 minutes of this a duo sloop came along, followed the sound of my voice, rescued me and we allied up and completed 2x DR Athenas together.
It was one of the oddest and more entertaining things that has ever happened to me while playing this game.
20 minutes stuck to a tree while streaming is no fun though, good job I had booze to hand, please fix.
@surveyorpete crashing your internet or device isnt needed. On PC you can just Alt-f4 and on Xbox you go to the home screen and then use the menu button and force close the game. Restarting the game will let you join the previous session.
