I wanted to let you know that there is a variety of different skill levels of people that play or attempt to play your game your npc combat such as megs and skeleton ships need toned down they were fine before the update where krakens where not world events anymore since that update the npc combat has been so much harder I struggle with ashen winds so much I can't do them solo the increased aggression and toxicity of the npc combat is probably why you only have 9000 players and not more it makes it hard for people sailing solo to get anything done unless the're a super sweat lord I'm currently working on the legendary merchant trader commendation so I can get the Athena spyglass and pocket watch I just had a Meg and a skelly sloop attack me at the same time knock me off course and send me into the red sea where despite my best efforts I sank loosing my cargo that I was trying to deliver I find it distressing that more than one thing can attack your boat at a time when solo especially when your not very good with managing everything by yourself please consider fixing this to make your game more enjoyable for pirates of all skill levels thank you

There are more than 200k players who raised Hunter's Call Emissary and turn somehing in this month, so you might reconsider the source that says 9k players.
The Kraken: a laughable encounter before, especially for sloops (duo or solo); it needs some buffing not nerfing - even when in a combionation with a Meg.
Why were you close to the Red Sea when you were delivering cargo ? Only one Seapost close to it and that's more than a square-and-a-half.

Yep Krakens are easy solo. As a duo it's no challenge at all.

Keep practicing, it is hard at the start like all games. You will get better as time goes on.
Battling megs, Krakens and skeleton ships at the same time become a piece of cake after a while when solo, you will learn what needs to be killed first and what needs repairing etc on the ship and when. Only time it gets harder is when other players are involved.
It definitely feels like environmental aggro has been dialled up to 11.
I've engaged Megs twice since the last update and each time a skelly sloop spawns(once in the storm)which feels unfair. Kill the sloop and the Meg will attack you as you try to scoop the loot. Megs dealing 3/4 holes and rapid attacks, very easy to get behind the ship and meet a watery grave. For Ashen Winds - use the throwing knives, it can be done in 2-3 minutes solo. we also have the Skeleton Mercenaries now to assist in the larger islands.
Avoid emergent spawn galleons - unlike the skelly fleet feels like they don't scale to crew size and can demolish you.
