What is Legends of Giving?

For the first time this year, any Pirate Legend can head out on the gift-giving trail to offer the brand new Obsidian Grapple Gun to any other pirate they meet. Legends will be given the Generous Gift Sails to raise, alerting other crews to the potential of nearby presents, while the Legends of Giving Emote enables the gift-giving when interacting with another pirate.

Reaching gift-giving targets unlocks rewards for these generous Legends, and hitting a collective Community Goal for total gifts given will award all players the Precious Present Sails and Flag!

While Legends of Giving is new this year, previous years have seen Sea of Thieves Partnered streamers sailing the seas to hand out goodies during the Festival of Giving, in an incentive known as Holiday Hauls. It’s back again this year, opening up even more opportunities for end-of-year treats! These Partners and selected community VIPs have additional items to give, along with a Holiday Hauls Emote to enable the gift-giving and a Generous Gift Ship’s Banner to let you know they’re close by.
