Skeleton Invasion upon outpost / server coop event.

  • Every now and then the skeleton fleet decides it should blockade a town to cut it off from resources and supplies.

Galleons and sloops will surround and guard the outpost and a new cloud, a red skull will appear in the sky.

Players with their crews are encouraged to find other players and ally, to build a fleet to combat this skeleton menace.

Killing the last ship rewards all the ships in the area regardless of their affiliation.

The number of ships should be enough where it would be extremely hard, near suicidal to take it alone even on a fully crewed ship.

Because we all use outposts the fact one becomes unavailable is a real pain, so it would be in everybodys interest to take these guys down!

It could also make those solo sloopers, like myself, pushed into interacting friendly with other ships instead of just slinking away or charging towards guns drawn.

  • @daringclarky agree again. This would be amazing.

  • @daringclarky

This is exactly what happened in the original Cursed Sails event, where the skeleton armada declared war on the Sea of Thieves, and specifically, the outposts. They did not prevent access to them, however, instead calling the pirates to areas of open sea with the promise of destroying anyone who tried to stop them. This resulted in constant skirmishes lasting over a month, with few stops in between.

  • Would it be that difficulty for a Skelly Galleon to attack a port and even spawn skellies to get off the boat?

  • @glannigan Could make it so the npcs are cowering in the buildings and the skeletons roaming and until the ships are destroyed the skellies despawn
