Rumors about time limited cosmetics come back from time to time

    I heared rumors that Rare want to offer single time limited items to buy from Duke for dubloons again.
    anyone has infos or is it just a wet dream of some players :D ???

    I missed nothing, but i refused to buy all stuff when it was available.
    The Barnacle Cloth Set for example.
    I only buyed the hat.
    when the ship was around i saved 50 Dubloons for the Flag.
    I have the full ship except the flag, and i got the weapons, and the hat.

    I wouldnt mind if they don't do it, but if the jacket and flag one day is available again for dubloons i for sure would buy them.

    I have also saved on other event cosmetics, but don't want anything i saved dubloons on that i can remember.

    Anyone has heared the same rumors?

    @bugaboo-bill yep i have heard this rumor going around, but they wanted to link it to events coming back but with a twist.

    Also (a long time ago now) Joe stated that if they where to bring the cosmetics back they would slightly alter them to keep the originals original.

    I hope the last part is true

    The exact wording was that they want to make sure that past exclusives would remain exclusive to those who earned them. But at the same time, they want to bring them back with a twist.

    Not sure what’s going on there but it looks like they’ll be doing the right thing for all parties here. Keeping exclusivity for old players who were there for the event, and giving new players something at least similar to earn.

    I’m very interested! Because I’m like you, the only time limited cosmetic I forgot to buy was the Wailing Barnacle Flag! Haha

    Well lets see maybe the new version of that jacket is looking better :)

    i refused to buy that, because all the long and closed jackets look ugly on well fed pirates :D

    And i often idnt buy the flags of Ship Sets as i think the Jolly Roger is just fine to expres my stance ^^

    But today i sometimes love to have a full set.

    I have another rumor for you - ashen wheel, cannons and anchor is coming.
    I have all of it, including the jacket and iirc also the Flag :P

    that will be the next set i have complete with weapons, cloth and ship cosmetics.
    Ok no tools and instruments. but well, i dont care that much ;)

    Bonecrusher is my favorite set in the game for sure. I have every single piece of that set that has ever been available haha. I'm really proud to have that complete set in my cosmetics collection.

    I would definitely love to see an open jacket concept for Bonecrusher! I wonder if the altered version of Bonecrusher will be that hat and jacket that you see inside the clothing shops in the Dagger Tooth and Galleon's Grave outposts?

    I own everything except the Wailing Barnacle Dress and the Bone Crusher Dress. I regret not purchasing them as they look better on Male pirates than the Jacket does :(

    @chronodusk I have all the Bone Crusher stuff myself also. It’s absolutely my favorite ship set. I don’t however have the weapons. Didn’t care at the time to buy them but now I wish I did. :-(

    If they do release everything again for doubloons that would be awesome. A mod (can’t remember his name) has been on the forms here and there hinting that something is coming soon that’ll let us spend all these doubloons. So fingers crossed

    aye but that just be rumors mate maybe true maybe not
