Mermaids are your best friends at times, or the bane of your existence. I like the distance they show up at, I like how they show up to risk other players noticing your around. But there is room for improvements. First, the classic, well-known, glitched mermaid. Please fix it. It is so annoying, and gives the sunken ship survivors an unnecessary advantage. Second, add a whistle to make a mermaid show up sooner. It would be part of the second tool wheel. It would also be a shell.
Dolphins, would be a cool addition to the game. They would propel you through the water like in Minecraft. To make one show up, you would have to blow a whistle like the mermaid whistle concept. But they wont show up if your holding a something in your hand, like loot.
