Would have to agree on this one. I had really been enjoying the weekly streams but the last couple weeks have been a little rough. I understand the angle though, having streamers leads to more exposure leads to more $$$. Hopefully some more active players get an invite in the new year. Joe, Mike, and Jon are all doing a fantastic job though, they really seem to be having fun every week. Looking forward to the upcoming stream, hopefully it is the direction future streams will be heading!
@boond0ck-83 with Freddie Prinze Jr and Lizalaroo on board this week's stream should be a real treat for all aboard!
I honestly do understand this critique and certainly felt those pangs whenever a guest has intimated such a thing...
But then I also realize that having players that aren't regular SoTers is also good for a few reasons - obviously can be beneficial for business/viewership, newer/inexperienced players can also be very entertaining with their fresh reactions to things within the game, and it can truly inspire new fans - including the invited streamer, along with their fans - not just from a business standpoint but also just from a 'yay, more players get to see how fun this game is and now they want to play as well' standpoint.I think the team has done a fine job of spreading these invites around and changing it up.
There was only one time when I was particularly annoyed, and that was when they had Captain Ash Bacon on... along with some other person that was very unfamiliar with the game.
I was just irked that time, because it was taking time away from a mainstay SoT pirate, Captain Ash, that may be one of the greatest pirate captains I've heard tell of on these seas.
Still, that stream was also one of the most fun ones - and seeing the other lady get thrown through the air from the mega keg explosion is one of the greatest highlights of these many fantastic streams!
So... to me, it seems all good, really.
(And that additional guest was fine, regardless! Nothing against her at all!)
