Let's try to squeeze ideas :)

  • I have not created this theme to demand a change in the game, if not to propose one and see how open they would be to changes in the game. more quenada I am interested in seeing if we are really willing to accept drastic changes.
    I put some proposals trying to get out of the reglon and the bases already established to see what would be agreed and what not.

    Proposal number 1
    That the servers open at the same time for all, that is, if you enter a server, you will know that all the players inside have entered at the same time. Positive consequences:
    Larger possibilities to create new and more interesting mechanics without this unbalances the game and provides more advantages to those who have more time collecting resources, something is a problem currently. Examples would be the cursed cannonballs.

    Proposal number 2.
    Expand the world beyond the Caribbean and see Chinese boats, Vikings, among others, to see maps with snow and expand the marine and terrestrial milotology. create Christmas events, among other things.

    Proposal number 3
    create skills that you can choose for your character and only carry one of them. These would be things like.
    Being able to kill in the back. Have more ammunition
    Dodge with rolling mechanics. Attack with the sword charged more powerful. Throw bananas so that the enemies fall to the ground. Increase the possibility of getting epic chests. increase in gold when selling. be able to place a trap for enemies. Nothing that breaks the game in general, but that makes you feel that not all are equal.

    Proposal number 4.
    Create more enemies such as:
    bears , Jaguars, Pumas, Pirates that care for chests, witches and ghosts.
    Sirens and tritons that attack (I would argue that in that case they will change the sirens that transport you to the ship for dolphins and leave the sirens as enemies) Jelly fish and electric eels. and a leviathan I would like very much to see.

  • Proposal 1 - I don't think this would work. I already hate the way to long load times to get into game. Having to wait for enough other crews to fill out a server before I could join a game would add even more load time. So I just don't like this idea in general.

    Proposal 2 - I like this idea and believe we will see that in the natural evolution of the game. My crew have even commented lately hoping SoT does something special for Halloween, given that the SoT environment would be a natural place to add cosmetics and even NPC's that could help celebrate the holiday. I also like the idea of expanding the map to include colder climates that require you to where your jackets or even snowy conditions. And that includes expansion to other ethnic regions as well.

    Proposal 3 - While I understand why you would ask for this, Rare has said many times that skills or improved abilities will never come to the game, since they want a balanced game for new players and legends alike.

    Proposal 4 - I like the idea of adding new enemies, but would rather them be in the form of say a royal navy of some sort. I think the biggest thing missing in this game is some for authoritarian/governmental navy. However if you go by the origins behind SoT, they simply don't exist in this realm. So it would probably have to come in some form of territory/map expansion. Either that or something that is formed out of the factions that exist within the world as it is. Like a merchant navy to protect merchant ships. Or even just merchant ships that we could raid.

    I think we would not have more load times with that proposal, I'm not an expert on servers but I think that the services they use with Azure and artificial intelligence to search for spaces inside the servers is not well optimized and I think it also takes a long time in charging for synchronization between them.
    With my idea we eliminate the search for available spaces between servers and the synchronization between them and I think the load time would be the same as the current one because we would have to wait in a loading screen but we know that SoT only supports few ships in each server, I think They are 10 and I think I exaggerate, if you know that data it would be fine to tell me about it.

    He talked about the possibility of having that skill gallery from the beginning and always choose one when starting a game but only being able to use one. And I know Rare said all of that at some point, but even this is not for Rare to add all this to the game.
    It is to see what we players would like. I have not put skills such as having more life or more speed, at best I think I proposed to dodge, and more bullets, but you have the chances of failing or dying before using all, I think an extra bullet would be enough.

    Not an expert or even close, but this idea would mean that servers never auto fill when people leave the game. Which means you have a lot more server merges as time goes on, which no one likes the server merges. Either that or a couple of hours of game play and you end up on an empty server. Which, on occasion is not bad, but for the most part would be boring and take away a huge element of the game. And yes, look at the load time of other games that you have to wait for other players. During peak times they take a few minutes to load as the server waits to fill all positions. But during off peak times, when most people are sleeping for example, imagine the wait times to get a full server before finally getting placed. I think Rare fixed whatever bug that was in the system that kept servers from auto filling and as a result have not seen an empty server or a server merge in at least a month if not more. So without knowing how this could work for sure technically, I still believe it is a bad idea based on watching other games with similar features and the wait times for populating groups to join.

    I would rather not have anything skill wise that distinguishes between myself and someone else. I would rather see as even a playing field as possible. As it is, with cross platform, it is already slightly unbalanced.
