Becoming pirate legend is such a huge accomplishment ! But is also a huge grind. The rewards that we get are pretty sweet, but it is just more of the same. New outfits, figurehead, sails, and paint job. Where are the true rewards for being a legend.. the elite pirates? I feel a huge reward would be that when you become a pirate legend, there are 3 new boat types that only legends have access to. A new type of sloop, brig, and galleon. But these 3 new boats would look very different from the existing 3. So different that you can see the difference from a long distance away. Maybe even provide different customization options.
When the game was launching, you (Rare) said that when we finally hit legend is where the real game would truly begin. So far, all we have are Athena missions doing more of the same. I don’t want to hit Athena lvl 10 and not have anything to work towards. Why not give PL’s exclusive campaign’s? Campaign that involve skeleton forts, raid skeleton lairs, tracking down skeleton bosses that you have concept art for in your “art of sea of thieves” book. True missions, a true campaigns. Mission types that only the legends can do. This would give people a huge motivation to become legends. So we could access the “2nd” half of the game. The half that other cant access yet. It would give people a huge sense of pride and accomplishment..
