So where does the thin blue line belong according to the pirate code?

In one sense, I think Rare is messing up (they're skating on thin ice, with this one, anyways) by breaking their own rule(s), to not politicize their game. On the other hand, the flag is not described as an LGBT (or whatever other combination of alphabet soup) flag. Read the description as many times as you want.

I'm sure there are some younger gamers who will choose this flag without having the faintest idea of today's politics.

@wodyo I don't disagree with you on that. I don't think political aspects need to be here at all. But i'm not going to discriminate against it. Just asking on thoughts for other causes as well. The pride thing is a cause. WHich is great. Just getting consensus is all on other ideas as well. Not to make this post about that flag, lets try and stay positive here.

I say they're 'skating on thin ice' with this one, but as the description says, they welcome everyone. Everyone. If they’re gonna put flags in for one cause might as well have them for all political groups

Im really concidering quitting today. Its not about the rainbow flag. I just dont wanna see flags that have nothing to do with pirates in this game. Im from the US and i dont even wanna see that flag flown in the game. We should only have pirate flags in a pirate game. Thanks Rare for opening the door to things that dont belong to the lore of the world. Now when i log in, i have to be reminded of the outside world. I thought we were all wecome already. I dont see why we needed a flag to show that

This is my feelings as well, I have nothing wrong with it IRL but in game it doesn't belong. No flag for any beliefs or identity do, Only Pirate related items. Pirates didn't have rainbow flags back then lol. But I digress and won't get into a debate again we know how the last thread went. We lost they won.

I think its too late and they crossed the line. They have opened the door to every other real world flag being a possibility in this game. I think im just gonna pvp from now on and remind everyone we are pirates and we all sink the same

@ve111a I must've missed that discussion. I vaguely recall something about suggested flags, but I was consumed with the flags that we already have, lol.

@NWO-Azcrack I'm right there with you. It is disheartening to be reminded of the real world when you're playing a game that is largely based on fiction. I can't recall any fiction or lore that told about rainbow pirates either, and I too thought we were all welcome in SoT already.

I doubt I'll quit over it, but I do feel Rare is pushing the envelope here.

@cptbartroberts it really is & your totally right. I was previously really looking forward to micro transactions, due to this decision. They have lost all hope of selling me anything. I think I’m with NWO once red dead releases.

Just to clarify I just don’t like preferential treatments for any class & don’t like issues being forced on me

The more i think about this the more i think this is a marketing move for the future. When they drop the microtransactions and i see all the country flags for sale, this will all start to make sense.
