Stuck on loading screen!!!

  • I can't list how many times I've had to alt+f4 my game because after trying to load back to my ship after dying or taking a mermaid the game refuses to load. I'm not the only person who's having this problem either as I have friends that are also having to deal with it. This is beyond aggravating and it didn't start till the last patch. I've lost ship battles, reputation and loads of loot because of it and I'm finally at the point where if someone were to ask me if Sea of Thieves is worth buying my answer would be a resounding NO. You shipped a half backed product deceiving players in the process and when you rolled a patch that also introduces such a game breaking bug have done literally NOTHING to correct it. Get it together Rare.

  • Well as i can say, we just had a discussion here about these errors and this is what they come up with.

    They closed that topic and still not solved. And there was no one disrespectfull to another, just some minor discussions and thats what a discussion section is for imo. But okay. Just wanted to let you know this.
    I probably get a ban by saying this but that's okay.

    Have you opened a ticket for it. While it is likely they are already working to try and fix the issue, the only way they are going to see how serious of an issue it is is if you submit a ticket.

  • @westworld2106 They really need an in-game support system. Nobody wants to leave their game to come jump through hoops on a website only to be told the issue was resolved when it is most certainly not resolved.

    Rare and Microsoft support staff are some of the worst I have ever encountered. Bar none.

  • @mrgrim67686 I agree that an in game support request system would be great, however, until then the website is the only option for submitting a support request. I also would be careful about comments directed towards the support staff in general as I highly doubt they are the worse you have seen and it will only result in yet another locked forum post for not following the forum rules.

    As you can already read, yes we opened many tickets. Most of them got marked as solved which is not the case and thats why we started a discussion which they closed and marked as solved as well. Not very fair. My last resort is my own youtube channel to let people know what really is going on. I think they are too scared that more people get to know this and don't buy the game anymore. Which is understandable, but we are still not helped and they marked it as solved.
    So having a discussion is a place that's called discussion is also not good.
    So yea we send tickets before we posted it in local as a last resort.

    No one was insulting people.
    Just a discussion. And we are old enough to know what is respectfull and what's not.
    This was just not fair to us all. Well, as you can read my posts, i will follow what i have said there, seems there is no other way.

  • @Cerberus-icon Have you verified that you downloaded and installed the hotfix patch for this that went out later in the week? Your opening post, unless I'm misunderstanding, indicates the issue started for you at 1.0.8. Just want to clarify that, and also to ask what steps you've attempted so far. I can pass this information to the team who are investigating this and related issues that appeared on Xbox.

  • @prognoizes tickets marked as solved just means they were seen and passed on to the relevant team/department.

    If you have problems/in-game issues, then sending a ticket is the best way for the right people to see it.

    The support staff has definitely been the worst customer service experience in my life. Not in general. Specifically the tag team of Rare and Microsoft support staff referring me in circles, then the MS staff getting full on sarcastic before closing the first ticket and calling it resolved.

    It's still not resolved. ...and from launch day I am still getting referred in circles with Rare kicking me to Microsoft and Microsoft kicking me to Rare and going nowhere. Quite the setup they have going.

    So means that it was still not solved. They could close it when they rolled out the update, not mark it as solved while it was not. Not very hard to mark it as working on atm, instead of solved. Just a simple PHP/SQL table for our tickets. I know how SQL works and easy to implement like not even 10 minutes work. Should solve all the problems and misunderstandings.
    I have another ticket open which they already read and that is not closed. So does that mean they didn't saw it and not yet passed to their team?? How would you explane that? I am very sorry but this is an issue that is solved very easy and everyone is pleased by it. Just a tip for them, but i can't mark that as solved because it is not solved, no matter if it was read or passed on to their team.

    At least the stuck in loading screen is fixed i have seen. That didn't happen when i played it today. Which is good. And yes i also say it when it is fixed, i am not a bad person, just honest.
    But it is also a good tip that xbox users have to re-install the game in order to make it work. Maybe they did, i don't know that, i don't have an xbox. I use PC but most of my friends are playing on xbox so understand that's also a problem for PC users sometimes. I rather play with them then just a bunch of people that do nothing or stand on the ferry for i don't know how long. I think that that is also an easy fix so that people on the ferry are only allowed to stand there for 5 minutes before they logged out or so. Now they are using that as trolling. Even if they move but stay on the ferry. Easy fix guys.
