Has anyone else experienced a ghost chat connection?

    Tonight as I was solo in a sloop I got put in another groups voice chat or something was bugged. I was turning in for the night and I thought someone was on the island with me. They were not, but proximity chat was broadcasting from the end of Galleons Grave Outpost's dock. Gave me a good scare at first but turned into amusement as I listened to them while cashing in.

    I too have experienced the ghost connection with another crew... I experimented, they cannot hear you when this is happening. It's a wired glitch and my mates and I have started being extra vague and cryptic as a rule when talking about quests, just in case someone is listening in to us.

    @lacyclover26906 YES!!! scared the c**p out of me. i thought somone was on my boat. i searched and searched. nothing.

    you have you in game crew chat set to non-directional , I use this sometimes to listen in on enemy crews if theyre after me , and see what theyre planning :D

    I've had the same thing happen. I could hear an enemy crew talking at an outpost, but there was noone there. Not only that, I could hear their ship creaking as well.

    @lacyclover26906 Yeah I've had it too. I was in the middle of the ocean and I started to hear chatter. I look around to try and find them but they are nowhere to be seen.
    I keep hearing them and that is when I notice the mast, at the very VERY end of the view distance.
    At least they hadn't spotted me, because it sounded like they were hunting for people.
