Game always running in Borderless Windowed? How do I force true Fullscreen?
I'm not sure why people are comparing specs throughout this thread. Just enable true fullscreen. It's not that difficult of a concept to grasp. I, like others in this thread, aren't even talking about performance issues. Instead, I'm bothered that when I try and use the Q-wheel, my mouse ends up on the top bar and selects whatever I'm mousing towards and then kicks me out of the game until I click BACK in the game.
This isn't performance, this is an interface issue. I want my mouse stuck to the game I'm playing and not accidentally (or intentionally as a "feature") clicking on the task bar or other windows simply because the game things when I press Q, it should activate the windows cursor.

i think he's memeing, but his old amd cpu paired with a 770 is the issue he can't play the game at his desired fidelity. I have an i7 4790 and a 1060 and sometimes dip under 60fps on legendary.
And it seems something is not right with his config. Either in Windows or who knows. My son has an i3 with a 970. Game runs flawless, but his pc in configured right and overclocked, maybe try that too?
@therealdadbeard I'm running an i7 8700 with a 1080 and am seeing the issues he's having. Pretty sure I'm on par.

@keasy3 Try accessing Windows store apps mate, Microsoft don't like us accessing SOT. You can by editing the permissions but I've yet to research whether it's a safe thing to do.
@therealdadbeard I've OC'd the CPU as much as I can safely with the stock cooler, I would buy a 212 EVO but I will be parting ways with this build soon so I'd rather not. Cheers for something constuctive though.

UE games should be set at 0 for full screen.only thing i could find is this:

I have no idea. This how's set for me. You can try changing it. Maybe something will change.
@therealdadbeard Nothing changed, even if you manually edit the values in this file the game ONLY registers changes that are actually made ingame. Annoying, this b******s is getting really tedious.

Windows 10 Borderless works completely different and bypasses the desktop completely and works like fullscreen, no performance drop whatsoever. It does not render stuff in the background. I don't think you can disable fullscreen optimizations even.But like you said, your cpu is not the best one out there at the time.

This is so false it's kind of annoying you're telling people this.
There are so many tests and graphs showing you that Microsoft's "Unique" "Fullscreen" mode is complete garbage. It is NOT true fullscreen mode, and it's painfully obvious.
Do some research.
