Since the update i’ve cycled through heaps of merchant alliance voyages and it looks like they’ve stealth nerfed how often golden animals show up. They seem much rarer now :(
Anyone else experienced the same?

@arch-lord Sometimes for me it takes 20 minutes before getting a gold animal and sometimes is takes like 2 minutes it’s just random I guess

In an island i found 3 golden snake and 4 golden chicken... I don't think is rare.
Oh f*s....thats not what he posted about....FINDING them is easy, getting contracts on them seems like a 0.00001% chance after patch.
Me and my gf cycled through 13 voyages before we got one thay wanted ONE golden chicken....before we got like 2 golden and 2 blacks pretty often...
Does RARE really wanna nerf the gold income as much as possible to force people to quit out of pure boredom? We KNOW what pirate legend is now, and its not worth the grind so....why?
I agree :( I did 3 Gold Horder quests (ok I am lvl 19 on all 3 but still) 2 were only 1 map with a riddle, the third was good but got a cyanbeard :( ....(the only time I cancel is when the islands are too far away or with the merchant to get golden ones)....at least I had luck in finding one captain chest ON the island not with the voyage... :(
The merchant ones are harder....there I had to cycle/change server 3 times to get one voyage with one golden snake and a pink pig.....:/ seriously?! I love the game so much and it is already grindy as damned....why make it even harder?! O_o@meingott77 Maybe you should just try and enjoy playing the game rather than trying to grind out as much rep as quickly as possible.

We love this game, but we also absolutely fkin hate it right now.....the game is working AGAINST you with the little content it has...
A few more trips for me, my gf and my 2 buddies, and we are taking a loooong break. Pvp seems to have calmed too, i guess the griefers are getting bored as we seem to be able to go for hoirs without even beeing followed.
Thats both good and bad...mostly bad.
I love the way that you can have s****y voyages so that you will enjoy nice voyage.
If you get any guarantee of having something good when you do a upper level quest, it will be boring as you know what you will won.... I love the way that sometimes i spend 2 hours in a riddle to get the poorest chest XD It make me so happy if in another quest i have captain chest.
Imagine if between level 1 to 10 you have all the time the same chest, level 11 to 20, all the time the same... It will be boring !!!!More you have rep, longer are you quest so that with only 3 quests you can have more chest to take before going to any outpost.
If they want us to just do every voyage no matter which animals are on the list, they should just make the rep increase a flat rate based on whatever rank the voyage is. They clearly intend that if they don't allow you to purchase more than 3 voyages per outpost. I guess we arent meant to be cancelling and cycling through until we get lucrative ones? We are supposed to be completing these as contracts right? Why is rep gain based on the gold value of the animals then?
oh that's right because rare is a lazy and mediocre studio filled with UK slackers who milked paychecks for 4 years. That's the conclusion I've come to after thinking about this game and its development. If I were Microsoft I would take control over design/management of the studio And replace the leadership because whoever is making these decisions and heading up development killed the prospects of this being a long loved IP and moneymaker.

I’m on hold hoarders and i am having a much harder time finding good treasure maps, plus there’s a limit now on how many voyages one guy will sell. Once you get all three you gotta go to another outpost. Looks like something might’ve got nerfed, or I’m just getting unlucky.
He sells 3 because you can only carry 3.

such an enjoyable experience catching the same 3 animals over and over and over. quests not getting better and more rewarding at higher ranks! so fun!
you know what was enjoyable? the trade pack system in archeage. Too bad rare is too mediocre and lazy to actually have a merchant system in this game.
you might enjoy eating slop but some people have higher standards.
