Game Pass not working

    Hey, looks like we originally posted this in the 'forum and website' feedback area:

    Xbox Game Pass is not working since changing to the new game. We're assuming a 'link to xbox game pass' was missed with the new version since it was a full download and not just a patch.

    If someone could confirm this is being looked at and will be fixed soon we'd all appreciate it, thanks! :)

    Im currently on free 2 weeks xbox game pass. Cant run Sea of Thieves right now aswell :(

    What a joke. I cannot start the game either, i'm getting "Sea of thieves is currently not available on your account" with 0x803F8001 error code. PC, xbox game pass trial.

    Nice $60 game you have there. Glad didn't pay for this.

    Same problem here. Is it just for game pass or people who purchased the game are getting the same errors?

    I'm so unlucky. Finally I and my wife have time to play for the first time in 4 days and now it doesn't work :(

    They probably just replaced the game files with the full re-Download and forgot to modify the drm hashes/identifiers.

    I hope we don’t have to download it again

    @sileepytime The twitter account of Sea of Thieves announced that they are working on the issue. If servers are down, does this means it's not a problem of the new patch?

    @sileepytime that's what I thought when I see the xbox servers. Even if isn't a problem of the new patch, knowing Rare would look for additional issues worth the wait (just a little =D)

    I downloaded the update about 4 hours ago and went straight into a game no problem via gamepass. Albeit for only 30mins. So what did they do after for this to happen? Very strange.

    On a plus side, the girlfriend will be pleased with some attention. Every cloud..... 😁

    Same for me. I was playing after work ok 5-7 pm uk now it's asking if I own it. Just gone 9. I would have thought it would have updated it earlier in the day and now it's not working due to xbox servers.

    tyvm - nice that they have the 'text/notify' when servers are fixed.

    Next, I just need a 'bucket with holes' in it icon to memorialize the occasion and the day I should not have taken leave from work. :)
