Game still freezes on loading supplies

  • So far I have done all of the following suggestions from support:

    "Fix #1 Login to Windows 10 with a local Microsoft Account. This fixes majority of cases reported.

    Fix #2 Open the Windows 10 Store, then in the top right corner click on the profile picture. If you have multiple accounts signed in, sign out all of them but leave the email account linked to the game’s purchase signed in. Next, in the Windows 10 Store download any free app at all. Then try playing Sea of Thieves again through the Windows 10 Store “Library” page.

    Fix #3 Go to the below link and save / run the tool. Follow the on screen instructions to troubleshoot / fix your issue.

    Fix#4 Press Windows + R Type Powershell and hit enter Copy and paste the following into the powershell window and press enter

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    If your problem persists please make sure your Windows is up to date. There was a Windows update that went out very recently that fixed this issue for a lot of players.

    None of these have been successful, I do not have Comodo antivirus, I have custom reinstalled windows and still get the error. When I run the powershell command I get

    Incredibly frustrating issue that most players do not seem to be getting so at this point I am not confident it is even being looked into.

    I got the exact same problem and it realy frustrates me cos I spend adleast 10 hours doing research now.

  • same exact issue and I don't think they even know it's a problem because the only telemetry generated is "client hang"

    it's depressing to get an answer from support saying its AV when I clearly stated in my ticket that I don't have any and it wont work on ANY of my windows 10 machines.

  • Same problem here and I've tried all suggestions I've come across. I haven't found a solution, just wanted to add my name to the list of people having this problem. I've submitted a support ticket but no response yet.

  • mine now sticks at checking fake coins lol

  • I was able to get it running by creating another user account. This is different than logging in with my normal account locally which didn't work. After logging in as the new user, I opened up Xbox app and installed/ran the game. I have to run the game from the new user. Fortunately, it didn't need to download the entire game again.

    While this allows me to play, it is a poor work around imo. I have no need for another account on my pc. I'm still hoping for a better fix.

  • I have this problem too. I made a ticket asking for help, all I got was "There was server maintenance, should be fixed now" then they closed my ticket without even confirming with me. Shocker it wasn't fixed, so I made a new ticket got the same reply, provided proof it doesn't work. They said thanks our test team is looking into it. That was on thursday, they have ignored me since then when I have replied back asking for help trying to fix it. Today they just randomly closed my ticket saying it was solved, yet they never helped me do anything to fix it. I have not been able to play this game at all cause it just freezes on loading supplies and their customer support refuses to help me out.

  • Same issue here. None of the workarounds are doing anything.

    Never buying a Microsoft or Rare game ever again. Basically 60 euros thrown out the window.

  • Re the OP script failures - bit old now but some of these might be worth trying... one overlaps completely but with setting execution policy pre-step included

    Comments might also have other options to try

    Don't forget to use Windows Powershell (Admin) rather than the regular powershell as well

    Failing that if the issue isn't evident when you test the game in a new user account would guess your original windows account user profile might be corrupt..
