I'm curious what everyone's favorite moments are of the Alpha/beta play?
I personally had a few that made me fall in love with this game and have me eagerly waiting for the release.
My first one was after I had just finished digging up a chest and turned to start heading to my ship I saw a boat on it's way towards me (this was my first time playing and was queued solo). So I quickly had to run back to my boat which of course I parked in the worst position possible, literally facing the island and almost right against a rock so as my heat is racing I had my first 2 chests on board as I'm trying to work my way out of the terrible parking I did I of course hit the rock....hard now taking on water I'm quickly check where to boat is seeing it coming towards me still I'm trying to fix the holes and empty the water to get moving after rushing around trying to figure out what I needed to do I made it back up on deck to find that the boat had completely ignored me and just sailed past.... That was the biggest sigh of relief I have had in a game in a long time and it made me laugh.
The other was just my first battle(still solo queuing and early on) I ended up getting in a fight with two other boats we were sailing around each other trying to shoot and steer and doing a terrible job of it. It ended up with one of the 3 hitting a rock 1 sinking and the other sailing away. Of course I was the one that hit the rock but it was so intense and I was left laughing at the outcome.
The last one was probably the most uneventful but, was towards the end of the Beta after escaping from a battle with almost no planks left I sailed off towards a outpost with the measly one chest I had into the sun set. But instead of making it there I dropped anchor and climbed to the crows nest and played music as the sun set. It was so relaxing and just an overall enjoyable experience.
I am ready to hit the seas again and I hope to see you all out there!
