I am disappointed by a decision to remove by doubloons

You need to do a quick YouTube search on this whole ordeals. You missed so much and everything is explained.

With 30k you should have also gotten some items not just gold.
And you can still earn doubloons there just a limit and harder to do. They are rare currency as they should have always been. Not something you earn by breathing.

If it only took you hours to earn 30,000 doubloons then that was the problem. So many people exploited to get them so with the new Duke shop out there it was reset so everyone started fresh. You obviously didn't need anything since you didn't spend those doubloons. The previous doubloon items are now gold in the shops. Once a month (but the next one is in June) is the bilge rat weekender event where you do a series of quests to earn crates with doubloons to turn in and you can steal others. As you can see you can only have up to 4000 at any given time till you spend some. The event to earn them is set for that specific weekend only. Otherwise you can get 10 base doubloons from a reaper chest 25 if you are grade 5 reaper. That's it.

I understand your company never cares about players opinion, but this is so ridiculous, that I, as a loyal player, have to say - I am disappointed and angry.

You sure you're a loyal player? Where were you 3 months ago when this was all announced? I see you're an Insider, and there were 3 updates they posted about the weekender event describing the plans over there. Heck a friend of mine doesn't even have Insiders and is able to read the forums and stay in the know. You'd know why it says 0/4000 (you haven't earned any doubloons from the seasonal pass). If you could spend hours to earn 30k doubloons, you could've taken minutes to read what's new/upcoming and given your opinion about it/provided feedback.

Discord, Facebook, Twitter, the forums, Drew's official youtube announcement, it was everywhere, Mr. Loyal Player. Sometimes I think the developers need to have people pass a quiz in order to log on to make sure people know what's about to happen, send out emails, and then to really make sure players stay updated-- carrier pigeon. So you go on and accuse the company of "not caring about player's opinion," when you yourself couldn't be bothered to post one 3 months ago, or this is a troll post in an attempt to incite people.

P.S. - I'm sure you probably didn't see this posted anywhere else either, but, you have a year to purchase items from Larinna/Duke's store.

1- My question wasn't literal LOL, but clearly you've been living under a rock since this came as a total shock and surprise to you, and you're so angry and disappointed by it, despite it being announced 3 months ago. Make sure to check out the changes to hourglass by the way, since you might not know the current changes there either.

2- Kind of surprised you spent hours getting 30k without knowing this was going to happen. Did you know about the Weekender event they also announced? Also, as a "loyal player", you should know that with only 2% of a player's time spent in Arena, it didn't warrant them paying for the upkeep of that server.

You make a post acting all surprised about this, then accuse Rare of not listening to you, as a loyal player that didn't know this was coming?

They didn't remove your doubloons.
They merged it with gold.
All of your old doubloons have been converted into X gold.
Everything previously buyable with old doubloons - can now be purchased with X gold.

New doubloons have a fresh start, and are capped at 4k per pirate at any given time.
