Removing doubloon pouches feels like a punch in the gut

  • Really? Doubloon pouches are like a 2% chance to spawn in an ashen chest, and since nothing else in ashen chests sell for doubloons anymore, no one has much reason to ever pick up ashen chests. It would take 1000 doubloon pouches to buy all the stock from Duke. With a 2% spawn chance that means it would take 50,000 ashen chests to earn enough to buy him out, and that's only right now. Every weekender will add even more to his stock AND Larinnas stock.

If doubloon pouches were enough to throw your math off, then your math will be wrong anyways.

  • its a sad situation. the reset was bad enough. they could have just converted the items to pay gold so peoples income would drastically slow down. instead its just insult upon injury over and over and over again. the former doubloon items are worth gold but dont give reputation or emissary grade toward anything. so literally all the old loot that was precious to us because of the doubloon value is now literally useless. dont even pick it up. let it rot on the island. its not worth your time. unless youre new and still working on tomes of fire and then when its a bilgerate weekender just find some people to exploit chest trading with. ezpz.... i cant believe this was their primary concern over fixing the game... the time they spent working on this doubloon fix could have been spent working on the ddos issue that showed a massive amount of potential players on twitch that this game wasnt worth giving a shot. the developers priorities have always been a bit skewed in the wrong direction but this doubloon thing being their primary focus and how awful an idea it is/was. nintendo was my childhood. and rare was a big part of that. and i feel both companies have turned their back on players

  • As this is a conversation best held to the Insider section we will go ahead and drop anchor on this here and direct you to that space instead. Cheers.
