New world boss

  • I’ve been thinking about how much encounters have evolved in Sea of Thieves, from the Sea of Thieves launch days with the Kraken and Megalodon, to later additions like Flameheart and the Ashen Lords.

It got me wondering — do we need a new world boss or roaming enemy to shake things up again?

Right now, most encounters are predictable once you’ve played long enough. You know the signs, the mechanics, and generally how each fight will play out. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does take away some of that original sense of danger and mystery.

A new world boss could bring that back — especially if it:

    • Has less obvious spawn indicators
    • Roams unpredictably instead of being event-based
    • Forces crews to adapt instead of relying on memorized strategies

Personally, I’d love to see something that changes how we sail entirely. Maybe a deep-sea threat that stalks ships over time, or a massive storm-bound entity that alters the environment itself during the fight.

On the other hand, I can also see the argument that the game already has a good balance of PvE and PvP, and adding more could clutter the experience or pull focus away from player interactions.

So what do you all think?

Should Sea of Thieves get a new world boss or enemy, or is the current lineup enough? And if we did get one, what would you want it to be like?

And yet I see people complain the are too difficult and need nerfing until they are predictable

They need to change the current ones into massive hits instead of making them weaker.

Throw back the clock and return the skeleton ships tha fire multiple curses and firebombs :0

Megs can attack from any direction not just the cannons. (They can but not enough)

    Forts should spawn sniper skeletons
