Safer sea is so nice. Turn on my Spotify music, solo sloop and focus on commendation work. No longer have to worry about some yohos sinking my ship while I'm on a fort or an island. By the way, I don't see how that was fun, sinking an empty ship parked at an island. Oh well. Someone else's problem.

SS is so nice.
Less often have to worry about yohos crying, screaming and throwing tantrums cuz they got sunk in a PvEvP game, now that most of them are in SS. 😁
So true, I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, the worst verbal abuse I’ve gotten in this game has come from pirates who seemingly feel entitled to have the event which is advertised to the entire server with a giant cloud in the sky all to themselves.

If your ship was truly empty, meaning you didn’t try to stock it in any way, then who cares if someone sank it? I’m assuming you were shopping or something when this happened and weren’t impacted in any way whatsoever?
Getting your ship sunk at the outpost when you spawn in (or otherwise) is such a rare and typically benign occurrence, seems odd to use it as a “pvp bad” talking point.
Enjoy the sailing simulator with zero threat of any danger (ie; excitement).
