with the new update introducing the new Pirate Deed Mechanic an Idea I thought to be interesting was appearance transfer for example say you roll a pirate you like but would prefer to put it on one of your other pirates like your main or something. Well I was thinking we have appearance changing potions why not add another purchasable potion to transfer a pirates appearance from one pirate to another

Because Pirate profile is an absolute recycling bin and you either have to choose between keeping your old favorite appearance intact but losing all your progress on a secondary pirate, or have the new appearance on your old pirate while moving the old favorite appearance to your secondary pirate that you will never use other than swapping the appearance back and forth again.
...or in a simple to digest terms, pirate appearance presets, not sure how you didn't get that.

You should understand by now, that a huge amount of people want to have different pirate appearances, without loosing any of them.
I want a thin pirate in addition to my fat pirate so i can switch between them (with access to every cosmetic i own and on the same profile).
If that was how it worked i would buy at least 3 more appearances, if not more and I'm by far not the only one.
The thing that was described above is just another try to get exactly that, but in a very terrible way.
