If Flameheart is such a big deal why is the pirate lord not doing more?

  • Forgive me if I'm wrong but the pirate lord, or the stranger for that matter, don't seem to care that the big bad is back. After all Flameheart is the nemesis of the pirate lord and his return should be a wake up call for the pirate lord. I don't know for certain they don't care because I'm not a pirate legend and that might unlock new conversations. That's all if you were interested thanks for reading this I'll post more like this weekly.

  • @maxmegavenom the NPC’s in this game are kinda… static…

There used to be more lore inclusions in the game (from earlier dlc’s and latest the adventures)

But yeah i think even elder scrolls oblivion NPC’s where “smarter” and more inclusive to the story.

Sadly ae never have that in SoT

  • I feel like bringing back adventures would help a lot.
I myself have never gotten to experience one because I was a little too late.

  • In game, i think hes just chill for player sake, in story however, i think hes supposed to be doing a lot, the hourglass was essentially supposed to be a war with the reapers in retaliation against flameheart returning. Until they have another bit of story with those 2 or a new book/comic, at this point the conflict is just implied.

  • Because the Pirate Lord was never really the good guy.

    dun dun dun

  • They're both too old, undead and tired to care...

  • Ramsey, the pirate lord is more "live and let live"; Flameheart is "die and let die"

  • What I'm trying to say is that with all the characters fearing his return, you would think that the man who goes directly against Flameheart would care the most.

  • The real explanation seems to be that Rare is leaving the storyline aside to focus solely on the gameplay aspect, which has been a trend for some time now.

They launched a mission to attack the forts, but it only involves the Dark Brethren, it is a positive sign for the return of the plot but it did not advance the Reapers vs Athena conflict.

The explanation in the plot in my opinion is that Ramsey must be doing something behind the scenes, we just don't know yet, to be honest Flameheart also didn't do much other than send us after more ancient knowledge for him to use as a weapon. They left other storylines in development, the Dark Bretheen and perhaps the arrival of the GMU to SOT. I would say that there are chances that even Athena and Reapers will join in a truce to fight against these other threats, but it is speculation.
