I know it's been a long time since that mystery happened but I think that people who did that mystery should be rewarded with something more than a commendation, for example, a dark versión of the glorious sea dog costume, or a curse which is similar to the legendary one, but instead of that color, It has the fallen sea dog lantern colour and replacing the athena's Fortune symbol with the arena symbol or something like that, I think It would be nice to give rewards to the people who did It.
Fallen sea dog mistery rewards
After having my favorite mode shut down, watching my communities fade away, seeing friends abandon the game... the term "fallen sea dog" had a much deeper meaning to me outside of the mystery.
IIRC the original fallen lantern had a special glow (similar to veil voyage/TT lanterns), with an ambient sound that was something between gloomy and tranquil. It was my favorite piece of equipment. It wasn't Arena. But it was Sea Dogs. And it was unique. It was special.
Then they removed the cool effect. Lol.
Folks were asking about the Midnight Prowl set. Which, imo, they should have included with the rest of the ship sets that were awarded following Arena's closure. But they didn't, and they don't have a history of retroactively rewarding entire sets either.
The best idea they came up with for unlocking the sails was an unreasonably massive PvE grind for a rare item.
I say all this to preface that: 1) They're probably not going to give people an entire fallen set for that past mystery, and 2) whatever grind they decide to lock the set behind, will probably be tedious and unfun. Because everything Sea Dogs/Arena is ultimately made boring.
