Select and back buttons

The game has switched the X button with the O button. X was to select anything/everything. O was to back out if everything. I've looked and looked and can't figure out how it was done to be changed back. It had messed up my game play. It's like relearning how to play. We all know everything second counts? I know I'm not delusional please help!! Thank you
