The Throwing Knife heavy attack animation *feels* like you should be able to attack faster than you can.

  • This is not a post asking for the heavy attack to be quicker to execute, just that the animated queues for when it is ready feel off. By the time you fully drawback your blade for a heavy attack, it feels like that's the queue to be able to release and stab. However, there is a slight delay after fully raising your knife to swinging the attack, and that's been enough to cause a more than a few awkward encounters with boarding pirates.

  • Actually...yeah! I hadn't really noticed what bugged me about the backstab until you said something, but there's a slight pause before the dagger drops.

Maybe my pirate is reconsidering his life choices and wondering what decisions have brought him here to this moment...jeez, I really hope he's not weighing the pros and cons of a life of non-violence. That would make my occasional Reaper sessions super awkward...

    He's a disease-ridden murder-hobo who can't even spell, what's he got to be philosophical about?! 😆

  • I wonder if there is a guy who makes the animations and he ever says, "Well, its been 5 years since I've done a new weapon animation, wish me luck here..." I'm sure they'll continue to polish it

  • I think the Throwing Knife needs a micro-buff as well. +5 dmg to throw (raises to 70pts), +5 dmg to heavy attack (raises to 75pts) and +2.5 dmg to stab (raises to 15pts)

  • @olde-grim-jack I thought the throw damage was 60, the heavy was 70, and the light stab was 14?

  • @seanethermore
At the current state the heavy attack should definitely be oneshotting, no one moving that still to be hit unless cornered or ladders at some extent.

  • So a slower blunderbuss. I could get behind that, it’s a pain to pull off against a wary target.
