Something simple, but when I buy a bait crate or something, can they just freaking give it to me?

    As a newish player, I bought the bait crate, and then ran to all by barrels, inventory, walked around the shop looking for it, on the ground etc. Then when I went to talk to him to get another one, it said "Grab bait crate" or something. I'm like really??? Then the other day I wanted to go fishing, so I bought another bait crate, when left and sailed halfway across the map, just to have to turn around and go back 15 minutes, to again talk to him to "Grab" the storage crate after already buying it. I feel like this makes zero sense. I have never in 40 years played a video game where I had to do this, when I sell treasure there isn't a follow up button to hand them the treasure. Please make this small change.

    I've always said the crates should just be sitting next to the merchant and you pick them up to purchase. No need for so many UI buttons on screen.

    I wonder if this would help with the storage crate bug as well. Maybe they could make it so that if the transaction is not going through you won't be able to pick up the crate but at least you won't have paid for it. Or you pick it up and if the transaction doesn't go through at least it is to the player's advantage. I wonder how much gold I lost paying for stuff I never received.

    True. If they're gonna make you interact again, the merchant should have an animation of them turning around and picking up the crate holding it out for you to pick up. If not, then just have it spawn on the ground in front of them.

    You havnt played enough video games then.

    It’s called paying attention. Sailing off “thinking” you bought a “crate” of something will magically appear on your ship is weird.

    It even says so.

    The Shipwright puts stuff on your ship, I don't expect the Merchant to do that, but it is a merchant. When I go to an actual store IRL, I don't have to buy something from the cash register, and then start another conversation with them asking if I can please have my stuff I just bought, they just hand it to you.
