Low FPS since recent update?

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz, RTX 2080. Getting huge lag spikes especially when fighting skeletons. Settings on rare or lower. any help? Normally have around 50 fps which drops to 20.
