    It doesn’t matter if people only play to unlock the curses
    We just need people of all skill levels playing hg for the sbmm to work.

    Assuming Rare makes grindr easier, at best, 1 level per win... Is it so hard to understand that after getting the curse in two weeks these people will NEVER touch HG AGAIN?

    That it will literally make no difference to matchmaking to attract people if their progression is quick, as they will take what they want and leave?

    Even in the current scenario with normal progression there are not enough skins released to keep up with the demand of those who have already received their rewards, so with faster progression it will be IMPOSSIBLE to sustain HG with skins, and this will be the end of the mode.

    It's literally choosing between pleasing beginners who don't like PVP, killing HG or sustaining it as it is with small changes and more rewards per year.

    It took me several months to get both curses.

    I hated the grind.

    I have no job and no responsibilities.

    I don’t hate PvP.

    I hate that the boundaries are so massive.

    I hate that running away is so easy.

    I hate how slow allegiance progression is because I find it very difficult to streak.

    Now this is coming from someone who is at 130 guardians and like 110 servants.

    I have 5k hours in SoT.

    Now imagine someone who doesn’t like PvP, someone who has limited time to play games, someone who doesn’t have nearly the amount of hours I do… how they feel.

    Can you do that? I’m not sure if you can.

    I got both of my curses and I still use hourglass because I haven’t even really started working on my hg comms and I haven’t unlocked all the stuff you get when you work your way to level 200.

    So I have plenty of reason to continue using the hourglass but I hate it because you either match with a sweat or a loss farmer, progression is abominably slow and ships are crazy hard to sink because faster respawns, crazy powerful bucket, two chains to snap the mast, etc..

    You think faster progression would kill hourglass and I think faster progression would save hourglass how ironic.

    Let’s bet real money to see who is right. But we will need Rare to at least play along to be able to see who in fact is actually right.
