Is the community day grade increasing or not?

I don't get a lot of firsts anymore but today was the first time I spent 5 minutes of time (start to finish) getting an ashen athena at booty isle

and had an hour long battle over a tall tale island where the athena was delayed the entire time anyway

that pop up plunder thing is pretty cool, even with the issues I thought it felt fresh.

I dunno what will happen with grade 5 or whatever is going on with that but I thought it was a nice day even through the issues.

I'm not too big on mixing the socials with in-game but I thought this was pretty cool, a stream running in the background, twitter page up for maps, worked pretty well as a design for community day imo.

It's 5 now.

A solo and I arrived at the same time

we both end up with no boats and have a 20 minute 1 life standoff while the chest is still buried, running all around the island trying to survive each other and the pve spawns

eventually I just leave so they can have it, in case it was their first and I was just gonna invite them to sell it anyway

fun community day imo, I enjoyed it

I'm not sure how the pop-up treasure worked exactly and it's forcing me to go into wild parts of the internet I left and never wanted to go back to BEFORE the muskrat got involved. Maybe turn down the twitch requirements too.

not a fan of this Community Event's mechanics.

yeah it's not for everyone, for sure

I always just make the best out of it and then I think about everything overall

I feel like Rare regularly improves how they try things over time on a lot of things, including these community days.

Twitch and twitter and that sort of stuff is just always gonna be a part of this game so I just go into it trying to find the silver lining of it all.

I personally don't like that they just flooded the game with boxes of secrets but it is what it is.

just my opinion but I think overall and all things considered they did well. This pop up plunder thing has a lot of potential imo.

Got me a Box of Wondrous Secrets on the first pop-up and stole an unfortunate soul's Veil quest, pretty happy so far :D

Got me a box of wondrous secrets, server hopped quickly until I got a Sanctuary Spawn, sailed down quickly, used the island cannon to get across to dig, back on the ship to get to Morrows (didn’t know I could sell at Reapers). Met some kids who I allianced with, didn’t tell them I had the chest on board, sold it, listened to their reactions when it flashed up on screen with the amount of gold. Worth every moment!

I thought they worked like reaper chests and didn't share with alliances.

but I've never sold on in an alliance so maybe it does

I used a marked athena I dug up at shipwreck to distract a duo of sweaty mcsweatertons on an HG ship so I could kill a meg instead.

pop up plunder with the good loot is a hit imo

more interesting pvp scenarios than I have seen in a long time
