I've had this weird situation today (on top of the servers having issues) where the game would freeze for a second and then it would do that weird thing it does when a server merge happens, where it looks like the animation is trying to catch up. It happened quite a lot and at random times. Am I the only one having this issue? It doesn't seem to be my PC because all the other Programs were just fine. (I was on Discord whilst playing and had no issues there)

If I'm not mistaken, this is something perfectly normal with the game. Every time the server merge happens, you experience that animation momentarily. In fact, if you have loot above water at that moment, even your loots may be lost. As far as i know everyone is getting that animation at that moment.
@i-spam-sword Aye, I know that. But this was not during a server merge, it happened at random times. The game completely freezes (as if it has crashed), the sound loops, but then catches itself and does that thing when a server merge happens but its not a server merge since I didn't get the text on screen or the sound. It seems to have stopped now since I didn't have that issue at all today. My friend whom I've been sailing with at the time didn't have those issues though.
