@superbanane78 Not going to happen, in any way shape or form. Why give away one of the crown jewels?

FYI Minecraft was on the PS3 before Microsoft bought Mojang, so they would have been pulling it from those players had they decided to make it exclusive afterwards.

Also SONY likes to charge other companies MORE money to enable cross-platform play....why do you think Gearbox cancelled PS4 cross play for Borderlands 3?

true but it's meant to be exclusive and it's better for the devs to update the game on two platforms right now and Microsoft won't because of the friendly rivalry with sony

That's totally false. Having a game on two totally separate platforms just makes things harder for the developers and strains the playerbase. This happened to PlanetSide 2; it was PC exclusive, then right before they sold off their online gaming division Sony mandated the game get ported to PS4. To this day the PS4 edition of PlanetSide has fewer players than the PC version, and is consistently behind on updates. Not to mention the fact that separate servers are run for each, and there's no crossplay.

@superbanane78 besides what others said, porting sea of thieves to PS is like porting God of War 4 or Spiderman to Xbox. It's their developer, so it's their money.

Side note: 27/32 of E3 Xbox games are free on game pass. Which is $15 a month. Take that $500 on your series x and instead buy 33 months of Ultimate. Play exclusives for free ON YOUR PHONE/computer.

Great thing about Xbox, is you don't need the console to enjoy the experiences. At $15/month, you just need to play 3 games for free in one year to break even on ultimate costs, not even including everything else it offers.

If you made this post because you have friends who play PS but won't get Xbox, maybe just show them how many options they actually have just to try the game at least. I know that people rarely listen though, lol

I think it's more on Sony than Microsoft. The folks over at Sony don't seem to like the idea of crossplay. This is one reason I refuse to buy a Playstation because Sony is trying to trap it's users to their platform by not allowing crossplay and having all these exclusives.
